Right to Read Advocacy offers advocacy services, IEP and 504 coaching, informational workshops, webinars, e-learning courses, and educational resources such as a record keeping journal.

Services

Our consultative services educate and empower parents.

Full-Service Engagement

Our full service engagement offers support before, during, and after your IEP meeting. This is a three-month, flat-fee engagement.

  • • Intake meeting to discuss progress and relevant concerns

    • Review of records to include recent evaluations, IEPs, and other relevant documentation (progress reports, standardized testing, etc.)

    • Draft parent statement(s) for IEP meeting(s)

    • Attendance at up to two IEP meetings and note-taking

    • Drafts of post-IEP follow-up communication

    • Review of IEP updates

    • Preparation of binder with hard copies of student files

    Ongoing monthly support to include review of new evaluations, progress reports, and monthly data and additional IEP meeting participation will be invoiced at the advocate’s hourly rate.

Advocacy Coaching

Prepares parents for a student-centered, results-driven meeting. Hosted via Zoom. Coaching sessions are offered for a flat fee.

  • Advocacy Action Session

    This session provides three hours of advocacy coaching, which could include services such as:

    • Review educational records

    • Actionable list of recommendations and course of action for the parent

    • Written communication with parents, school personnel, or other service providers

    Advocacy Advantage Session

    This session provides six hours of advocacy coaching, which could include services such as:

    • Review of the child’s educational records

    • Preparation for upcoming IEP, 504, or monthly data review meeting

    • Drafting of parent input statement

    Continued Coaching

    Upon completion of an advocacy coaching session, continued coaching is offered at the advocate’s hourly fee.
